hola. IM RICHER BY 150 BUCKS!! WOOHOO. The feeling of being rich is good. :DDD Back to blogging. Sales had been plummeting since the start of school. Not only that, I received complaints from consumers via the phone.

Customer: Hello? Is this Ralph Lauren Kids from Forum?
Me: Yes.
C: Well, I bought a navy jacket for my son (who's 8 years old). When I came back from Korea, I asked my maid to hand-wash* (NOTE! HAND-WASH) the jacket separately using a different type of detergent. Suddently, the colour ran.In addition, there's a blot patch on the jacket. Can you explain to me why is this so?
*By the way, the conversation sounds rather normal. But in fact, she's SCREAMING HER GUTS OUT! :S

Me: Okay. Madam. Please calm down. Could you bring your merchandise down so that we can have a look at the jacket. However, we cannot assure you that there will be an exchange because all sale items are non-refundable/ non-exchangeable.
C: WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY NO EXCHANGE HUH?? WHAT IS THIS? IM UTTERLY UPSET AND DISAPPOINTED YOU KNOW? IS THIS HOW YOU HANDLE CUSTOMERS?

Me: Okay Madam. I'll let my supervisor get back to you and see how we can help you ok?

C: OF COURSE! I MUST TALK TO YOUR SUPERVISOR!!

-phone to Felicia (my supervisor)-

blah blah blah. Yada yada yada. Note! During the conversation, I was very calm and patient with her. I did not shout/scream at her! Ha!Ha! Im so proud of myself for being so patient. Well, this is life. Customers are right. BUT NOT ALWAYS RIGHT! Being bitchy doesn't get your way through in retail industry. You do not mess with me ok? Im not good to be trifled with! At the end of the conversation, she was caught speechless cuz Felicia outtalked her! Ha! Ha! Ha!

Madam aka BITCHY CUSTOMER:
Go ahead and lodge a complaint against Ralph Lauren Kids! We aren't scared of you. We're giving you a chance to preserve your dignity and pride k? We have displayed the sign stating that ALL SALE ITEMS ARE NON-REFEUNDABLE/NON-EXCHANGEABLE! So do not come SCREAMING and CRITICISING US! BITCH!

what an "interesting" conversation.
That's life. Patience and intelligence are the key factors in retail industry. To deal with customers' nonsense, you need technique. :D
